Night Shift Supervisor/Custodian (Districtwide 2^nd Shift)

There is a full-time second shift Monday through Friday vacancy for a Night Shift Supervisor/Custodian with the Phoenix Central School District. The individual filling this is a 12-month position must meet Oswego County Civil Service competitive exam requirements. Compensation for this position will be $31.55/hr.

Classroom Teacher

The Phoenix Central School District is seeking interested applicants to fill an anticipated vacancy working with students at John C. Birdlebough High School (grades 9-12) for a probationary, full-time CTE Teacher beginning in the 2026-2027 school year. New York State certification within CTE Content Areas is required. Additional extensions and content specific certification is preferred.

6^th Grade Classroom Teacher

The Phoenix Central School District seeks an enthusiastic educator for a full-time, probationary 6th-grade Classroom Teacher position at Emerson J. Dillon Middle School, effective September 1, 2026. Candidates must hold New York State Childhood Education Certification (Grades 1–6); additional extensions or content area certifications are preferred. Substitute School Bus Drivers

The Phoenix Central School District is currently accepting applications for substitute bus drivers. Candidates must be 21 years of age and possess a clean, valid driver’s license. CDL B preferred, but not required. There is paid training to obtain a CDL B for the right candidates. Interested candidates must complete the following documents and turn in all materials to the district office.

Substitute Custodial Workers

The Phoenix Central School District is currently accepting applications for substitute custodial workers. Candidates must have knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment. Candidates should have the ability to perform cleaning tasks, follow oral and written instructions and use hand and power cleaning equipment. Must be flexible with hours, as shifts vary. Interested candidates must complete this application and submit all materials to the district office.

Substitute Teachers

The Phoenix Central School District is currently accepting applications for Substitute Teachers (K-12). Candidates with a teacher certification issued by the New York State Education Department are preferred. Substitute Teaching Assistants

The Phoenix Central School District is currently accepting applications for Substitute Teaching Assistants (K-12). Candidates with a teaching assistant certification issued by the New York State Education Department are preferred. Substitute Licensed Practical Nurse and Registered Nurse

The Phoenix Central School District is currently hiring Registered Nurse and Licensed Practical Nurse substitutes. Candidates must possess a valid Registered Professional Nurse license or a Licensed Practical Nurse license issued by New York State. Interested candidates must complete this application and submit all materials to the district office.

Substitute Food Service Employees

The Phoenix Central School District Food Service Department is currently looking for food service professionals who are available between the hours of 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. Monday through Friday. Successful candidates would start as a substitute in the Food Service Department and can apply for a permanent employment as positions become available. Shifts vary. Food service, retail and cashier experience are very helpful. Interested candidates must complete this application and submit all materials to the district office.
