Emerson J. Dillon Middle School Students Celebrate School Spirit, Teamwork

The gymnasium at Emerson J. Dillon Middle School was bustling with excitement during the annual Dillon Way Kickoff Assembly, bringing students in grades 5-8 together for a day of friendly competition, school spirit and teamwork.
The event featured a variety of challenges, including relay races, doughnut-eating contests and other fun competitions that encouraged students to work together, support their classmates and represent their grade levels.
The celebration began with a special ceremony led by members of the EJD Student Council, who participated in the ceremonial lighting of the Firebird at the top of the gym. The symbolic tradition set the tone for a day centered on school pride, unity and the values that define the Dillon Way.
Throughout the event, students cheered on their peers and demonstrated the importance of collaboration, sportsmanship and positive school culture. The event continues to be a favorite tradition at EJD, celebrating the school community and the importance of coming together as Firebirds.
