As we begin the budget process for 2013-2014, I am saddened to say that once again we have received a minimal state aid increase. The overall net increase in state aid for Phoenix CSD is $228,670. Our total budget for the 2012-2013 school year is $41,261,399. As you can see, our increase in state aid is a drop in the bucket compared to our overall school budget.

On Friday, December 14^th my heart was broken to learn about the massacre of students and staff at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut. My sympathy and prayers go out to the families and communities affected by this senseless tragedy.

We have two open houses in September.  The EJD open house is Wednesday, September 19^th from 6:30PM – 8:00PM. JCB has their open house on Wednesday, September 26^th, beginning at 6:45PM.
