RULES OF ORDER
The President will normally take up topics in the order presented in the agenda, which will be:
Greetings to visitors
Business
Personnel
Financial Reports
Superintendent's Reports
Verbal Reports
If conditions warrant, in his/her judgment, the President may rearrange the order of the topics.
Normally, Roberts Rules of Order, Revised will be observed, except that the following rules will prevail:
Discussion of a topic may precede a motion on a topic introduced by an agenda item. The President will move the discussion toward the introduction of a motion as soon as possible.
Generally, items relating to Business, Personnel (excepting resignations and retirements) and Financial Reports will be disposed of by some kind of motion (passed, defeated, tabled, referred, etc.).
Superintendent's Reports and Verbal Reports may or may not be disposed of by motion.
On request from any member, the pending motion will be reread by the Clerk.
The Board may vote to suspend its rules, or any specific rule, during the consideration of any topic where it finds such rule(s) obstructing the orderly progress of its business.
