PICK-UP POINTS
All students residing more than one and one-half miles from the school which they attend or who live beyond the point where sidewalks end on highways entering the district shall be deemed entitled to transportation.
All students who are transported in the morning shall return on the bus in the afternoon. Upon written request of the parent or other cause, the Superintendent of Schools may issue written permission for a student to return home by means other than the school bus and shall so notify the bus driver concerned.
To achieve maximum safety, buses on heavily traveled highways shall be routed, where feasible, so that no student will have to cross the highway to reach either the bus or his/her home.
To promote the economy of time and operational costs, the Superintendent and Transportation Manager shall arrange bus stops for students in populous areas so as to eliminate as many stops as possible without seriously inconveniencing students.
