The Board of Education may accept on behalf of and for the School District any bequest or gift of money or property for a purpose deemed by the Board to be suitable, and to utilize such money or property so designated. Title and control of such gifts shall pass to the Board upon acceptance.
The Superintendent may be assigned to set up criteria to be met in the acceptance of gifts, and the procedure for examining and evaluating offers of gifts to the district.
All gifts shall be given to the district as a whole, and not to a particular school. At the discretion of the Board, the gift may be used in a particular school.
Gifts or bequests of money shall be deposited in a Special Account as designated by the donor, and shall be used and accounted for in the manner specified by the donor, if so specified.
