SUPPORT STAFF PROMOTIONS

The goal of the Board of Education is to have the best qualified person available in each support staff position. The philosophy of the Board is to support promotion from within to the extent that this goal is attained by such promotion.

All relevent Civil Service regulations shall be adhered to.

When all other factors between a present employee and non-employee are equal, the present employee will be promoted.

When all other factors between two present employees are equal, the employee with the greater length of service will be selected.

A contradictory provision of an appropriate negotiated contract shall take precedence over any of the above provisions.
