SUSPENSION AND DISMISSAL OF SUPPORT STAFF MEMBERS
The Superintendent shall have the authority to suspend with pay any support staff employee until the Board of Education can be informed and formal proceedings initiated.
When a support staff employee is dismissed for insubordination, inefficiency or other sufficient reason, all applicable Civil Service laws and regulations shall be adhered to.
Transportation Employees
The Supervisor of Transportation will determine if disciplinary action is appropriate. Employee actions which may warrant disciplinary action are those which affect the efficiency or economy of the Transportation Department or the health and safety of students.
Examples of action subject to disciplinary action include:
1. avoidable accidents;
2. speeding;
3. unauthorized stops; and
4. failure to:
a. gas buses;
b. keep buses clean;
c. report to work on time; and/or
d. misuse of personal days.
